advice to new models

Be on time every time! If you run into a traffic jam or other unforeseen problems, let everybody involved know about the situation. Even if is just 5 min. Punctuality is very important.

How to deal with rejection, to be a model means you are gone be turned down a lot. It's natural to fear rejection in everyday life. It's part of what we do as people, try to find somebody that likes us as much as we like them. Modeling agencies and photographers are no different. They have a certain criteria they are looking for - the odds are against you. Most models don't fit in and are rejected. It hurts to the core if somebody tells you they don't want anything to do with you. It is the hardest thing for a person to except. Sometimes you get a reasons, sometimes you don't. You have to accept there decision and move on. Don't look back, don't spend any time thinking about it, you have better things to do with you time. There a more opportunities around the corner.

Don't assume anything always find out for your self. When going to a photo shoot ask the photographer what is expected of you. Take with you more cloths, make-up and everything then you need, it's better to have and not need then to need and not have. Be self-sufficient when on a photo shoot.

Safety - if starting to work with a unknown photographer look at his work and always get references. Make sure the photographer is the real deal. It works both ways, photographers ask for references of you and most likely want to see your portfolio.

To assure a good communication between you and the photographer, use a phone. It's more personal then an email and you get a feel for the person on the other side.
6.
Modeling business is a business after all. People will pay you money for posing and showing your self. Don't accept jobs that can possible hurt your career in the future. Ask your self "Can you talk about the photo shoot openly without blushing or lowering your voice"? if not this photo shoot may come back to byte you.
7.
All agreements between you and the photographer should be worked out before the photo shoot and printed on black and white and signed by all the parties. It's not that big a job as it sounds.
